Entry #1: Bloggy Blogs

Hi! Hope everybody is having a happy Sunday. Me? A little stressed, but I’ll live.

Moving along to today’s topic: blogs and what I think of them. I will always think that the Internet is awesome. ALWAYS. I have never realized it, but the majority of the Internet is made up of different types of blogs. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and many others are blogs that all have one thing in common, rhetoric. Each one serves a purpose, has a unique voice, and attracts a certain audience. Blogs are amazing because it brings people with similar interests from around the world closer together. Isn’t that nice? Bringing people together. John Lennon would be proud.

All right, now to a few blogs I had a look at today. Post Secret is a blog that really caught my attention. You can write your deepest, darkest secret on a postcard and send it anonymously to the given address. The author then posts pictures of them. Here’s one I liked. This reminds a lot of the meme Confession Bear that is all over the Internet. Ever had a secret you can’t tell anyone, but want to? Send an anonymous postcard with your secret written on it to the author.

Now here’s a blog that I don’t even want to look at, TMZ. “Who cares?” is what I mumbled to myself after every post. What’s the purpose of these posts? Some celebrity’s Twitter got hacked and I should know about this? Maybe that is something someone else might find interesting, but not me. I can live without having to know these things.

This last blog took me by surprise because I have been to the website before without knowing it was a blog. From video games to nerdy tech comes Kotaku. Need I say more? Last time I visited this site I was looking the best SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System for the two of you who don’t know) games. Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts is now one of my favorite SNES games. Needless to say, I found what I was looking for.

That was my opinion on blogs. Now it’s your turn to take this discussion further. What do you think of blogs? Which ones do you enjoy? Despise? I will be reading the comments down below. As always, have a nice day!
